Job Title: Medior Java Developer

Location: Mechelen, Belgium(Hybrid 3 days onsite per week)

Duration: ASAP-6 months with possible extension

Languages: English

Responsibilities:

* As a software developer, you work together with other scrum team members on a project.

* You participate in scrum planning sessions by analyzing the work to be done.

* You implement new functionality or code refactors based on detailed specifications and mock-ups. You closely work together with other development team members and UX analyst. When needed you discussed up front the technical design with senior team members.

* You participate in writing unit tests for newly developed functionality and you participate in performing code reviews.

* On a daily basis you report on work progress.

* You focus on bug fixing when needed.

Requirements:

You hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering.

* You have at least 5 years’ experience designing and developing complex software applications in a Software Developer role.

* You are proficient in Java (OpenJDK 21).

* Additional experience with .NET is considered a strong advantage.

* You have solid knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs.

* You are skilled in Angular 20, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

* Familiarity with DICOM standards and database optimization techniques is an asset.

* You can work independently and know when to escalate or discuss challenges or identified issues.

* You are fluent in English.
