At Depowise, we build software that supports mission-critical financial operations. Our platform processes large volumes of financial data, integrates with multiple systems across the fund ecosystem, and automates complex operational controls used daily by depositary institutions.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who ships reliable, scalable systems and uses AI pragmatically to move faster. You bring strong fundamentals in system design, data, and testing, and take end-to-end ownership of complex work.

As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Design and build services with clear boundaries, strong failure handling, and predictable behaviour in production.
• Own the full product development lifecycle: uncover problems, shape solutions, deliver working software, launch to clients, and close the loop with real-world feedback.
• Improve quality through TDD, comprehensive testing, CI/CD, and strong production observability.
• Partner with Product and Design to turn customer problems into simple, shippable solutions.
• Mentor teammates through reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing, and help set engineering standards.
• Share your work proactively within Engineering and with the wider community.
• Use AI for ideation, diffs, code generation, and documentation while taking full ownership of the outcomes.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Experience building scalable backend systems and familiarity with distributed systems concepts.
• A track record working with high-volume data and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with .NET and C#, relational databases, and React.
• Strong testing practices (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and observability skills.
• Clear communication and documentation skills, with the ability to unblock others and deliver outcomes.
• Practical experience using AI for planning, implementation, refactoring, and testing.
