We are currently looking for AI Developers / AI Architects (Full-Time Contractors) to join a dedicated team supporting our global client on a fully remote contract engagement.

This opportunity allows you to work on advanced Generative AI solutions while collaborating with international engineering teams in a remote-first environment.

Location: Remote (Finland-based candidates preferred) with occasional visits to Helsinki

The position centres around building, deploying, and maintaining Large Language Model (LLM) based solutions, with a strong focus on Python development, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and production-grade engineering practices.

You will contribute to areas such as prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM optimisation and fine-tuning, backend integrations, and delivering end-to-end GenAI functionality within real-world applications.

• Develop and integrate LLM-powered applications and services using Python.

• Participate in prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment of LLM solutions (OpenAI, Hugging Face, or custom models).

• Design and build scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices that support GenAI workflows with strong performance and reliability.

• Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred) supporting AI/ML environments, including model deployment pipelines and runtime services.

• Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to transform business requirements into practical AI-driven solutions.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and performance metrics for AI systems, including tracking aspects such as latency, output quality, and model drift.

• Keep up to date with emerging AI/ML technologies, tools, and research, bringing new ideas and improvements into the development stack.

• Support and mentor junior engineers, while contributing to architectural decisions and maintaining high standards across AI development practices.

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with Python as a core language, and 2–3 years working specifically with LLM or Generative AI projects.

• Strong proficiency in Python with experience using ML/AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.

• Solid understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and microservice-based systems.

• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and model fine-tuning.

• Experience building and operating cloud-native AI services within AWS or similar cloud environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and comfort working in a remote-first team environment.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical teams as well as business stakeholders.

• Candidates should ideally be based in Finland or able to operate as an EU contractor.

• Experience working with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.

• Knowledge or experience with agentic AI systems or multi-agent workflows.

• Previous experience delivering production-scale AI or machine learning systems.
