Ingenio is partnering with a deep-tech company operating at the intersection of AI, molecular modelling, quantum physics, and HPC.

They need a backend engineer who understands systems — not just syntax.

What You’ll Own

• A self-hosted PostgreSQL environment
• Database optimisation for long-running, parallel HPC workloads
• Backup, recovery, and data integrity
• Schema design, access controls, permissions
• Python-based ETL pipelines
• Monitoring and observability across the stack

You’ll work directly with R&D and senior technical leadership.

This is high-trust, high-impact work.

Non-Negotiables:

• 3+ years in serious database engineering
• Strong PostgreSQL (self-hosted)
• Solid Linux background
• Containers (Docker or Podman)
• Strong Python fundamentals
• Experience with monitoring tools

Nice to Have:

• ETL orchestration tools (Prefect, Dagster, Airflow)
• Parallel computing frameworks or schedulers (OpenMP, MPI, SLURM)
