Network Engineer | Enterprise Client Projects | Netherlands | Dutch Required

We are currently supporting a major enterprise IT services environment in the Netherlands looking to add a Network Engineer to work on complex customer infrastructures across a range of sectors.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise networks, collaborate with experienced architects and consultants, and contribute to the design, implementation and optimisation of modern network environments.

You will be working primarily on customer premises, supporting critical infrastructure and helping organisations modernise their network capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate enterprise LAN and network infrastructures

• Support the architecture, deployment and implementation of network solutions

• Contribute to shared network services within a large enterprise environment

• Create high-level and low-level technical designs

• Work closely with customers to understand business challenges and technical requirements

• Support the design and implementation of modern network methodologies and frameworks

• Maintain architectural documentation and technical standards

• Propose improvements and new functionalities within the network landscape

• Develop and update technical frameworks and blueprints for switching, routing and firewalling services

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of IPv4 / IPv6 networking and LAN technologies

• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and intent-based networking

• Expertise in routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and MPLS VPN

• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Extreme Networks technologies

• Experience producing network design documentation

• Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

• Certifications in Cisco and/or Extreme Networks are highly desirable

• Interest or experience in network automation tools such as Python, Ansible or Git

Requirements

• Fluent Dutch (spoken and written)

• Dutch passport required

• Willingness to work on client sites within the Netherlands
