For one of our clients active within the retail sector, we are currently looking for a Data Scientist focusing on Forecasting & Predictive Modelling.

As the Data Scientist, you will support the team in developing and deploying advanced predictive and prescriptive models that enhance business decision‑making and transform operational efficiency. You will work end‑to‑end: from ideation and exploration to deployment and monitoring in production.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Translating business challenges into analytical objectives and identifying data‑driven opportunities
* Conducting data collection, preparation, exploratory analysis, and statistical validation
* Developing machine learning, AI, and forecasting models to improve strategic and operational processes
* Managing full deployment cycles: testing, versioning, CI/CD setup, monitoring, drift detection, and documentation

Profile:
* Background as a Data Scientist or similar
* 5+ years of experience in a data‑driven environment (preferably retail)
* Experience with ML techniques (clustering, regression, classification, time‑series)
* Experience with forecasting models is a plus
* Hands‑on with Python, SQL, PySpark
* Experience with Azure (Workflows, Container Registries, MLflow) & Databricks (MLOps principles)
* Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

Duration: 6 months (option to extend)
