What if you could build modern data infrastructure from the ground up and see your work directly influence major financial and investment decisions?

I’m working with a fast-growing, data-driven organisation operating at the intersection of technology, AI, and financial transactions. Their mission is to transform complex financial investigations through automation, advanced analytics, and modern cloud data platforms.

They are now looking for a Data Engineer to join their Data team and help build the infrastructure that powers their next generation of analytics tools and internal applications.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys designing scalable systems, making technical decisions, and working closely with business teams to turn data into real insight.

What the Data Engineer will be working on:

  • Designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures.
  • Developing a modern cloud-based data platform (Azure) to support analytics and internal applications.
  • Building and maintaining robust data pipelines that power financial analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborating with data scientists and software engineers to deliver innovative internal tools.
  • Supporting the development of analytics and BI applications.
  • Establishing best practices for data architecture, governance, and data flows.
  • Making key technical decisions when designing systems from the ground up

What the successful Data Engineer will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Informatics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in data engineering or data architecture.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and scalable data infrastructure.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Fluent Dutch and English.

What’s on offer for the successful Data Engineer:

  • A high-impact role building modern data platforms that support complex financial analysis.
  • The opportunity to work where technology, AI, and finance intersect.
  • Significant technical ownership and autonomy.
  • A steep learning curve with strong career growth opportunities toward technical leadership.
  • 30 days holiday.
  • Hybrid working with 1–2 days per week in the office.
  • Offices located in central locations in Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Rotterdam.
  • A close-knit, collaborative team culture with regular team events and social activities.

This is an opportunity to build the foundations of a modern data platform while working closely with experts across technology and finance — and to see your work have a direct impact on real-world decisions.
