About the Job: We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master with strong experience supporting SAP and Finance transformation initiatives to lead Agile delivery within complex enterprise environments. This role combines servant leadership, program delivery oversight, and financial systems governance to ensure reliable, compliant, and high-quality releases across SAP and finance platforms.

The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile excellence while supporting cross-functional teams working on SAP modules, finance systems, integrations, and enterprise data platforms. The role will partner closely with Finance stakeholders, SAP functional teams, architects, and enterprise technology teams to deliver scalable financial solutions aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

Agile & Scrum Leadership

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews/Demos, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Drive Agile best practices across teams delivering SAP and Finance transformation initiatives.
  • Lead Scrum of Scrums sessions to coordinate dependencies between SAP functional teams, integration teams, finance stakeholders, and data teams.
  • Proactively identify and remove impediments impacting SAP releases, financial reporting cycles, and system integrations.
  • Ensure sprint commitments align with business finance priorities, compliance needs, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Promote Agile maturity and foster a culture of continuous improvement and transparency.

SAP & Finance Delivery Oversight
  • Coordinate development and delivery across SAP functional consultants, technical developers, integration teams, and finance SMEs.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming to ensure user stories reflect finance processes, accounting rules, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate validation and testing of financial workflows, reporting logic, and data accuracy.
  • Support integration initiatives between SAP, ERP systems, data warehouses, and downstream financial applications.
  • Monitor release readiness related to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial cycles.

Program & Delivery Management

  • Develop and maintain project plans, release roadmaps, and quality milestones.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies involving SAP, Finance ,Operations
  • Monitor velocity, sprint predictability, defect trends, and financial tracking at program level.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies for high-impact releases.
  • Apply SDLC governance and best practices, and ensure required artifacts are maintained.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Finance business leaders, Product Owners, SAP teams, Architecture, and IT leadership.
  • Facilitate alignment between business finance priorities and technology delivery timelines.
  • Provide transparent reporting on delivery progress, risks, and release readiness.
  • Manage and resolve cross-team dependencies affecting finance transformation initiatives.
  • Support financial governance initiatives including audit readiness, compliance reviews, and regulatory requirements.

Leadership & Coaching

  • Mentor teams on Agile best practices within enterprise SAP and finance environments.
  • Coach Product Owners and Finance stakeholders on Agile backlog management and prioritization strategies.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and root cause analysis to improve delivery performance.
  • Contribute to Agile communities of practice and help evolve delivery standards for SAP programs.



Requirements

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
· 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master working within Agile environments.
· Strong understanding of enterprise SDLC, Agile frameworks, and release management practices.
· Experience managing delivery for SAP, or Finance transformation initiatives.
· Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across business and technology domains.
· Experience managing complex dependencies in large-scale enterprise programs.
· Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong servant leadership mindset with proven ability to resolve delivery impediments.


Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience working with SAP S/4HANA or core SAP Finance modules (FI/CO, AR/AP, GL).
· Exposure to financial reporting, accounting processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
· Experience working in banking, financial services, retail finance, or enterprise corporate finance environments.
· Agile certifications such as SAFe, CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP.
· Experience supporting large-scale Agile programs or Release Train environments.

Salary Range: $95,000 to $105,000 CAD/ year


The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and education/training. Compensation may also include additional components such as benefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable.
