Managing Director – Telecommunications

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: £160,000 – £200,000 + £7,000 car allowance + 25% bonus


The Opportunity

We are looking for a Managing Director to lead and grow Telecommunications consulting portfolio within a leading transformation consultancy. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving growth, shaping go-to-market strategy, and building long-term relationships with major telecommunications clients. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior executives while leading large-scale transformation programmes and developing a high-performing consulting team.


The role offers the opportunity to combine commercial leadership, client engagement, and strategic delivery, helping organisations turn complex transformation strategies into measurable outcomes.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as the senior Client Executive for major telecommunications clients
  • Leading the growth and expansion of a strategic account portfolio, driving new business and strengthening long-term partnerships
  • Developing and executing go-to-market strategies across the Telecommunications sector
  • Leading large-scale transformation programmes across areas such as:
  • Operating Model Transformation
  • Change Management
  • Programme & Portfolio Delivery
  • Business Analysis
  • Customer Experience
  • Managing a portfolio of programmes and engagements to ensure delivery quality, client satisfaction, and commercial performance
  • Building and mentoring high-performing consulting teams, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration
  • Contributing to thought leadership through industry engagement, speaking opportunities, and professional networks


What We’re Looking For

  • Executive or Partner-level leadership experience within a management consultancy or professional services firm
  • Deep Telecommunications industry expertise
  • Proven experience leading and expanding multi-million-pound client accounts
  • Strong track record delivering large-scale transformation programmes
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute growth strategies within consulting practices
  • Strong relationships with senior industry stakeholders and C-suite executives
  • A collaborative leadership style that balances strategic vision with operational delivery
  • Experience building and developing high-performing consulting teams
