Your new organisation

You will be joining an established digital practice that focuses on great software engineering and delightful user experience. Work environment is relaxed and focused on achieving great customer outcomes. You will be working with some of the best digital talent in Australia to design, develop, and maintain iOS applications from prototype to operational maturity.

Your new role

Within this role, you will enjoy rapid prototyping, experimentation and lean ios and delivery practices. You will ship code as early as possible to learn from customer feedback and quickly adapt to both qualitative and quantitative feedback. A proactive attitude helps you overcome blockers and get things done.

• Build native iOS applications that are scalable, robust, secure and delightful.
• Assist in maintaining our solid CI/CD and release processes.
• Evolve native engineering practice - culture, practices, standards and ceremonies.
• Data-focused, ensuring that we’re always collecting data and generating insight.
• Create reusable patterns and work with our UX lead on codifying our design language.
• Help recruit, coach and mentor engineering talent.
• Work closely with our full stack engineers on overall solution design.
• Produce prototypes and POCs to validate assumptions.
• Identify opportunities and innovate to improve our experiences and provide commercial value.

What you'll need to succeed

You are an expert in your domain, confident in mentoring and coaching more junior engineers, and a passionate advocate for your work who’s happy to help build company's presence in meetups and blogs. You're a pragmatic, hands-on and experienced iOS engineer who can also connect with stakeholders across the business.

Essential

• An equivalent/ relevant tertiary qualification.
• Experienced with iOS platform (version 10.0+)
• Proficient with Google Firebase Crashlytics crash reports and other engagement reporting features.
• Familiarity with mobile platform specific features for iOS.
• Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with modern source control using git and GitHub or similar.

Highly Desirable

• A link to your GitHub/GitLab repo and/or portfolio in your covering letter.
• Experience in build and release management in the App Store.
• Experience with the Mapbox SDK for iOS (version 6+)
• Experience updating Mapbox SDK versions (6+ to 11)

Desirable

• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform (App Services, App Functions, DevOps).
• Contributions to open-source projects are favourably looked upon.
• Broader experience in mobile application development, including iOS.
