About the Project
The Port Kembla Energy Terminal will play a critical role in strengthening Australia’s energy security as the country’s first LNG import terminal. You will be joining an experienced operations team supported by global expertise and committed to delivering safe, efficient performance.
About the Role
As HR Coordinator, you will assist in delivering a broad range of HR activities across the terminal. The position focuses on supporting HR compliance, recruitment, employee relations processes and workforce administration.
Working closely with Terminal Management and operational leaders, you will help ensure HR practices are implemented consistently and align with relevant legislation, awards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on award interpretation and HR legislation.
- Support compliance with industrial instruments, company policies and statutory obligations.
- Assist with recruitment processes and onboarding of new employees.
- Maintain HR documentation including employee files, records and compliance registers.
- Provide HR support and guidance to supervisors and employees.
- Coordinate training activities and site inductions.
- Assist with HR reporting, workforce data collection and process improvements.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Assist with union engagement and support the management of industrial matters with direction from Head Office and senior leadership.
Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Human Resources role.
- Working knowledge of Awards, Fair Work legislation and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience assisting with recruitment, onboarding and employee / industrial relations processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
