Technical project manager

For our customer, we are looking for a consultant with experience in web-based (Java) development, specifically in providing information stored in backend systems and delivering it through microservices. This role involves refining an existing system that continuously serves an active customer base. The data is presented in one tech stack and available across two other platforms (on Mainframe, and AirPlus in Dynamics & SAP). A key requirement will be the ability to unify teams from different tech stacks and establish a common language for collaboration.

Experience in secure web development is essential, including working with login systems, user authentication, and managing permissions. The system ensures users are identified with their own credentials, and access rights are clearly defined—there will be no open web access without proper identification and assigned permissions.

A significant challenge will be managing master data (such as customers and user accounts), which must be synchronized between two backend systems. Development is carried out by agile teams, and experience with the agile methodology in a SAFe environment is needed. While a dedicated team will focus on the portal, collaboration with other agile teams is required.

Strong people and communication skills are crucial, as the role involves facilitating collaboration between two organizations. The focus will be on delivering results and removing impediments, rather than reporting, with close cooperation with Program Management.

Requirements (our cutsomer requires that all specified qualifications be fulfilled to be considered for this role):

• You should have experience working as a Technical Project Manager, specifically managing external web development projects.
• As an individual, the candidate should have experience collaborating with various stakeholders, be skilled at driving processes forward, and making decisions. The candidate should also be able to communicate effectively with both backend and frontend developers, understanding their language and technical requirements.
• Reach a decision, developments projects need decisions all the time – the ability to take decisions and if necessary, anchor decisions are a must
• One of the Scandinavian languages and English.
• Web development when backend data is stored in another tech stack
• Communication skills – ideal candidate is a good listener and excels in communicating both in verbal and written form
  
  
  

Meritorious qualifications:

• It is an advantage if you have experience in business-to-business (B2B) environments.
• Corporate users – a user who acts on behalf of a corporate customer is different from a consumer user – understanding the complexities in this area is an advantage
• Agile SAFE understanding the roles in SAFE is an advantage
• Has previous experience working as a developer
• Multi country Culture – it is an advantage if candidate has worked with multiple cultures i.e. not only with Swedes
• Experience in dealing with deliveries from external parties
