Product Security Analyst

Bolt
Estonia · Full-time · Not Applicable

Product Security Analyst supports our product security goals by investigating security issues, assessing their business impact, and strengthening security controls across the product ecosystem. The role focuses on generating actionable security intelligence, improving detection and logging quality, supporting incident response, and collaborating closely with product teams to enhance overall security posture and protect end-users.

About Us

With over 200 million users in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it's all thanks to our people.

We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or ability.

Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars. And we need your help on this mission!

About The Role

The analyst will contribute to enhancing the security posture of our product platform by analysing user events to produce security metrics on the impact and extent of the abuse of security gaps. The role involves investigating known misuse cases and using data analysis methods to quantify their scale and impact. In addition, the analyst will support the rest of the product security team during incident mitigation and investigation, as well as subsequent analysis to improve visibility and support security automation efforts.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Investigate reported security issues and analyse their scale, severity, and impact on end-users.
  • Analyse user event data to identify abuse patterns and produce security metrics.
  • Support security incident investigations and mitigation activities across the product ecosystem.
  • Contribute to detection engineering by automating recurring investigation patterns into repeatable workflows.
  • Identify data quality gaps and improve security logging and visibility.
  • Assess the business impact of security issues and communicate findings to product teams and key stakeholders.

About you:

  • Proven track record in cybersecurity or a data-intensive analytical role. You're not expected to follow a playbook; you're expected to help us write it.
  • You are comfortable moving beyond standard security dashboards. You can query DB tables, navigate Databricks, and leverage Python (NumPy/Pandas) or SQL to uncover patterns that others miss.
  • Strong ability to assess complex threats, identify root causes, and highlight the most valuable security improvements across the domain.
  • You can write Jupyter notebooks and scripts to transform raw logs into actionable security insights and automated workflows.
  • You bring practical experience in log analysis and mitigation strategies. Bonus points for experience in a fast-paced SOC or IR team.
  • A degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Mathematics will help you stand out.

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don't tick every box, please consider applying!
