Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for a Network Specialist based in Germany.Mandatory Compliance & Eligibility
To meet strict federal security regulations (Ü2/Ü3 clearance) for this project, candidates must fulfill all the following criteria:
Citizenship: Must be an EU National from an EU or NATO member state.
Exclusivity: Strictly No Dual Citizenship (must hold only one single nationality).
Residency: Must be currently based in Germany or able to relocate to Germany immediately (Relocation support provided).
Vetting: Must be eligible and willing to undergo a German background security check.
Qualifications & Technical Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Network Administration and Networking technologies
- Strong skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving within IT systems
- Core Routing/Switching: Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and MPLS protocols.
- Experience in Network Security protocols and practices
- Ability to develop and implement effective Network Design solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are advantageous
- Security Infrastructure: Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Firewalls (Cisco Firepower, Juniper SRX, or F5) and VPN Gateways.
- Network Architecture: Deep understanding of Zero-Trust principles and SDN (Software-Defined Networking).
- Segmentation: Expertise in VRF, VLAN, and secure network tunneling.
- Tools: Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow).
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain the high-security backbone of the sovereign network infrastructure.
Security Compliance: Ensure all network configurations align with strict federal security standards and zero-trust requirements.
Troubleshooting: Perform advanced root-cause analysis for complex network latency, connectivity, and routing issues.
Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize network performance to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
Collaboration: Work closely with the SRE team to integrate network security into automated CI/CD and cloud-native workflows.
