QA Engineer

Our team is looking to bring in a QA Engineer who takes real ownership of quality and enjoys working across different layers of a system. This role suits someone who likes variety in testing, is comfortable moving beyond UI checks, and wants to be involved throughout the entire delivery lifecycle. You’ll collaborate closely with developers and product stakeholders while continuing to grow within a collaborative and well-established QA function.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and carry out comprehensive manual testing across modern web-based applications.
• Validate business logic and integrations by testing backend APIs and services.
• Ensure reliable and consistent application behavior across multiple browsers, devices, and environments.
• Perform database and data integrity checks using SQL queries.
• Create and execute structured test scenarios using behavior-driven approaches.
• Support testing related to data flows, reporting, analytics, or ETL processes where applicable.
• Actively contribute within Agile ceremonies, working closely with engineering and product teams.
• Participate in quality activities from early requirements analysis through to production releases.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Proven hands-on experience testing web applications across more than just the UI layer.
• Strong practical knowledge of API testing tools and techniques.
• Confident working with SQL for backend validation and data checks.
• Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing strategies.
• Exposure to a wide range of testing approaches, including functional, exploratory, integration, end-to-end, and sanity testing.
• Comfortable working within Agile or Scrum-based delivery models.
• Clear communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing data platforms, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, or reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with BDD methodologies and structured test design practices.
• Previous involvement across the full software development lifecycle.
