Data Strategy Associate - Leading Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund - Dublin

My client, a leading global alternative investment manager, is seeking a Data Strategy Associate to join their Dublin office.

As part of a newly formed and high-impact Data Strategy function, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening data governance, enhancing data architecture, and improving data quality controls across the firm.

This team operates at the intersection of technology and the investment business, providing high-quality, reliable data to support fund reporting and strategic growth initiatives.

The role will involve maintaining and enhancing the firm’s data catalog, monitoring compliance against data governance objectives, investigating data quality issues impacting fund metrics, and documenting end-to-end data flows to eliminate inefficiencies. You will also take ownership of initiatives to decommission legacy data structures while driving improvements across multiple data domains.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in a data-focused role within financial services (buy-side or sell-side), alongside strong knowledge of financial products. Hands-on technical expertise in SQL is essential, with Python preferred. Experience working with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and third-party data tools is highly desirable.

Given the cross-functional nature of the position, excellent communication skills are required, as you will collaborate with front, middle, and back-office stakeholders to resolve data issues and implement sustainable controls.
