About the company

Contechs is recruiting on behalf of our high profile Automotive customer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. They are seeking an Automotive UX & Interaction Designer to be part of their in-house Digital & Interaction team.

Description of the assignment

• You will work within the Company's Digital & Interaction team, a cross-functional team where interdisciplinary focus, curiosity and drive are highly valued.
• Our Client works in close collaboration with all other design departments shaping the mobility experience of the future.
• As a UX and Interaction designer you will work with user interface concepts for the current market, but also more visionary approach where we are able to shape the digital experience of the future.
• Contribute to the development, evaluation and documentation of novel, multi-modal HMI concepts and information architectures for digital and physical touch points, infotainment, driver information and telematics.
• Specific needs for this role are to be able to evaluate and test an existing HMI framework and define
• and bridge improvements needed during the implementation phase.
• You will explore and identify focus areas for user research, selecting appropriate research methodologies, synthesize user test results into actionable insights for iterative concept development.
• You will work cross disciplinary to apply systems thinking to information and experience design that
• engages people through physical and digital touchpoints along a user journey for consumer and business applications.

Qualifications and skills required for the role

• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for usability
• Good knowledge in defining user tests for digital interfaces
• Good knowledge in UX research methodologies
• Good knowledge of the automotive HMI design process and best-practices
• Experience in using design systems and creating specifications for implementation
• Diverse portfolio highlighting projects that demonstrate experience in crafting digital user interfaces and detailed frameworks of interaction models
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of designers, researchers, engineers, strategists and product managers throughout the design process

Additional information

• Travels to China may be needed (approx. 1-2 trips per year).
• Everyone in our team has a high level of responsibility and mandate and is expected to be able to work autonomously

• Driver's license
