I am Santtu Päivärinta, Head of Quality and Automation, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. The ideal candidate will be skilled in testing UI, frontend, backend, and infrastructure integrations, and should be highly proficient in using modern AI-assisted development tools. Our TechOps team works internationally with experienced colleagues and partners who have built and currently maintain the Service Hub - Telia’s internal integration and feature add-on platform.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing reusable automated tests across components to ensure robust, high-quality software releases. You will validate system integrations, support operational readiness, and facilitate seamless migrations while maintaining a strong focus on software quality and reliability. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are scalable, secure, and optimized for customer needs.
You will leverage modern AI-powered development tools - including Enterprise GitHub Copilot, agentic workflows, and automation assistants - to drive efficiency in software and integrations testing.
Our tech stack includes, but is not limited to:
- Backend: Java 21/23, Spring Boot, Java EE (Jakarta EE), WildFly;
- Frontend: Angular 18+, TypeScript, RxJS, Node.js;
- Architecture and APIs: Microservices Architecture, REST APIs;
- Data and processing: MySQL, Hibernate Search, Spring Batch;
- Infrastructure and deployment: Docker, GitHub Actions for CI/CD & IaC, Helm, Kubernetes;
- Additional technologies: SIP Protocol (Jain SIP in some microservices), Kotlin (legacy backend support), Quarkus & Vert.x (for some services);
This role could be a great match for someone with a collaborative mindset and strong commitment to team ownership and shared success. You also need:
- Professional experience (4+ years) in software testing for Java-based applications and integrations, ideally working within microservices architectures;
- Strong knowledge of testing strategies for microservices, REST APIs, and relational databases. Familiarity with integration testing across diverse backend and frontend components is a plus;
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard testing frameworks and tools relevant to our tech stack, such as JUnit Jupiter (JUnit 5), Mockito, Spring Boot Test, and Testcontainers for containerized environments. Experience with UI-first automation using Playwright, frontend testing tools like Jasmine and Karma for Angular, and API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured, is highly beneficial;
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, using tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes to support scalable and reliable test automation;
- Experience with AI-powered testing and engineering tools, such as Enterprise GitHub Copilot, agentic workflows, and automation assistants, to drive efficiency and innovation in software testing;
- Proficiency in English language (verbal and written).

Monthly salary range for this position 3600 – 5400 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonuses. The final offer may vary depending on skills and experience.
