About the Company
Our client is a publicly listed global fintech company specializing in digital banking and next-generation wealth management solutions. As part of its accelerated expansion in Europe, the company is building a world-class investment and wealth product platform to serve mass affluent and high-income customers across the region.
This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and design the entire investment product suite from scratch.
Role Overview
The Head of Investment Products & Wealth Solutions will lead the strategy, design, selection, and lifecycle management of all investment and wealth products for the company’s European digital bank.
This is a front-office, business-driven role responsible for shaping the product architecture, building relationships with global asset managers, and ensuring offerings align with regulatory requirements and customer needs.
You will play a pivotal part in building a competitive digital wealth ecosystem within a fast-growing fintech.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Design
- Develop the full investment and wealth product roadmap for European markets.
- Design a suite of products tailored to affluent/HNW customers, including:
- Fixed income instruments
- Cash & liquidity products
- Mutual funds & ETFs
- Structured products
- Alternative investments (where legally permitted)
- Other asset-based solutions (e.g., ABS)
- Identify product gaps and propose innovative digital solutions.
Market & Regulatory Expertise
- Maintain a deep understanding of European wealth markets, customer demand, and competitor offerings.
- Ensure all products comply with MiFID II, UCITS, AIFMD, and local regulations.
- Assess product suitability and capital implications for a digital bank’s balance sheet.
Partnerships & Fund Sourcing
- Build and manage relationships with global and European:
- Asset management companies
- Fund houses (including hedge funds)
- Structured product issuers
- Liquidity providers
- Negotiate product access, fees, distribution rights, and quotas.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Digital product & engineering teams
- Compliance & risk
- Operations
- Marketing & distribution
- Guide digital feature development for investment journeys, product displays, and customer analytics.
Execution & Growth
- Launch new products end-to-end, from selection to digital integration.
- Monitor product performance, customer adoption, and market trends.
- Optimize product economics and pricing strategies.
Key Requirements
Experience & Background
- 8–15+ years of experience in wealth management, private banking, or investment product roles.
- Prior background in product management, investment solutions, or fund selection.
- Strong understanding of European investment products (fixed income, cash, funds, ETFs, alternatives, structured products, ABS, etc.).
- Existing network/relationships with European and US asset management firms is a strong advantage.
- Experience working in a digital bank, neobank, fintech, private bank, or asset manager preferred.
Skills & Expertise
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to design profitable product portfolios.
- Deep knowledge of European regulatory frameworks and product suitability rules.
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
- Strategic thinker who can operate hands-on and independently.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or CFA is a plus.
