3‑month contract (extension expected | total contribution ~1 year)

Start: ASAP | Location: Utrecht / Remote hybrid

We're looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to strengthen an AI engineering team building production-grade LLM and RAG systems for large‑scale document processing. This is not a research role - it's applied AI engineering, building real features used daily.

• Build and improve LLM/RAG pipelines for processing large document sets
• Develop Python microservices powering GenAI features
• Work with embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval logic
• Build data ingestion & document processing workflows
• Deploy and operate solutions in an AWS environment
• Collaborate with a small group of AI engineers & developers
  
  

• Strong Python engineering fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, RAG, and prompt engineering
• Experience deploying AI solutions, preferably in AWS
• Bonus: web crawling, Java/backend knowledge
  
  

• 3 months to start, with a high likelihood of multi‑extension (1-year scope)
• Key contribution to a rapidly scaling GenAI platform
• Freedom to experiment and move fast with modern AI tooling
