For the European Medicines Agency we are looking for a HR Coordinator!


What are you going to do?

Role summary:

Processing of staff benefits under the EU Staff Regulations, assessing applications and claims for eligibility, supporting documents and correct calculation, timely communication to staff and processing. Involvement in ex-post controls of financial benefits for quality control and process improvements.


Role specific duties & responsibilities:

  • Processing of staff benefits under EU Staff Regulations.

Communication and professional contacts:

  • Required to receive and convey information, orally and/or in writing, of a non-routine nature which needs careful explanation and interpretation e.g. explaining or interpreting policies, systems, processes; dealing with matters of a sensitive nature; formulating responses to more complex enquiries; drafting news items, letters, minutes, reports or presentations.

Standard professional contacts related to normal day-to-day working relations within own job responsibilities. Professional contact limited to the exchange of information requiring courtesy and effectiveness in dealing with others. This may include soliciting and sharing information amongst peers. Contacts with colleagues in roles of higher responsibility will usually be associated to administrative tasks.


In particular, an HR Coordinator will:


Support the delivery of HR strategies, related projects and initiatives and the development of the HR/ EU Medicines Regulatory Network operational programme within the areas of expertise;

Liaise and work with relevant internal and external stakeholders on HR related matters.

A fulltime (40 hours per week), temporary job from 16-05-2026 until 15-09-2026


Salary range:

  • 5,440.58 gross per month (6 years of experience)
  • 5,669.24 gross per month (8 years of experience)

Where will you work?

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is a decentralised agency of the European Union responsible for the scientific evaluation, supervision, and safety monitoring of medicines developed by pharmaceutical companies for use in the EU. What do we ask?

Education:

  • Post-secondary education or secondary education with access to post-secondary studies, plus at least three years of relevant professional experience

Field of study:

  • Communication/Psychology/Administration/Law

Experience:

  • 6 years from the time when a post-secondary education diploma was awarded; where the official duration of the course is less than three years, the difference shall be deducted from the professional experience;
  • In providing administrative support, including complex administrative procedures;
  • In drafting various types of communication;
  • In stakeholder management.

Skills & knowledge:

  • Knowledge of EU Staff Regulations or public sector regulations for staff benefits.
  • MS Office suite
