Overview:
We are looking for a high-caliber Institutional Account Executive to join our front-office team. Your mission is to accelerate the onboarding of Tier-1 financial institutions and professional investors onto our regulated digital asset platform.
You will be responsible for the full client lifecycle—from initial hunting and high-level pitching to navigating the complex onboarding requirements of Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, and Banks. This is a role for a sophisticated "hunter" who understands the nuances of institutional liquidity, custody, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Targeted Prospecting: Identify and engage decision-makers across Proprietary Trading Firms, Hedge Funds, Family Offices (HNWI), and Institutional Asset Managers.
- Strategic Onboarding: Lead the end-to-end sales process, working closely with Compliance and Legal to navigate the rigorous KYC/KYB requirements of regulated entities.
- Solution Selling: Pitch OSL’s suite of services—including Prime Brokerage, Institutional Custody, and Exchange Liquidity—tailored to the specific risk profiles of Banks and Digital Asset Firms.
- Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact during the pre-trade and early-stage onboarding phases, ensuring a "white-glove" experience for high-net-worth and institutional clients.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor the competitive landscape of institutional digital asset platforms to refine our value proposition and pricing strategies.
- Pipeline Support: Assist the Head of Sales in managing large-scale partnership deals and preparing institutional-grade RFPs and presentations.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3–6 years in Institutional Sales or Business Development within Prime Brokerage, TradFi, or a regulated Digital Asset platform.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the digital asset ecosystem, including spot/derivatives trading, cold storage custody solutions, and the credit needs of Prop Shops and Hedge Funds.
- Financial Literacy: Familiarity with institutional trading workflows (FIX connectivity, API trading, and settlement cycles).
- Network: A pre-existing network or "book" of contacts within the Family Office, Asset Management, or Private Banking sectors is highly preferred.
- Regulatory Fluency: Comfort discussing global regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiCA, VASP licensing) as they apply to institutional investors.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; the ability to present complex financial products to sophisticated Investment Committees and HNWIs.
Target Client Profile:
You will be expected to open doors and manage relationships with:
- Buy-Side: Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, and Family Offices.
- Liquidity Providers: Prop Trading Firms and Market Makers.
- Intermediaries: Banks, Holding Companies, and Digital Asset Firms.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Assets Under Custody (AUC): Growth in total assets brought onto the platform.
- Trading Volume: Monthly volume generated by newly onboarded institutional accounts.
- Onboarding Velocity: Reducing the "Lead-to-Trade" time for complex institutional clients.
