Job Purpose
The Development Support Engineer is accountable for bringing ideas and solutions for existing products or for new products that the market needs. The best in the field of HVAC systems. Development work must be supported by calculations and strength analyses as well as flow simulations. Knowledge of SolidWorks CAD software, materials, component manufacturing processes, and various standards is required. Collaboration within a broader group, with defined delivery deadlines and risk monitoring.
Main Responsibilities
- Develops components and assemblies, and prepares technical documentation by CAD software, performs measurements of components with measuring tools or with CMM in all phases of development and when confirming initial samples and solving complaints,
- Prepare 2D/3D models and pictures, renders for catalogue, instructions, and simulations,
- Notes and reporting development results, supported by all calculations, feasibility analysis and test results, to the core and wider project team and, if necessary, to the customers as well,
- Participates in the preparation of the product cost calculation together with the project team,
- Cooperates in the preparation of the test plan and process with the Laboratory Engineers and in the analysis of the test results and the final report.
- Performs tests and prepares reports independently,
- Collaborates interdisciplinary with other development departments and project groups within organizations, on regular meetings and project reviews, and also implementation of product into production,
- Works with suppliers in ordering and manufacturing components and in the introduction of new materials, processes, and products in terms of feasibility and defining technical requirements,
- Cooperates with sales teams and buyers, in terms of finding solutions in applications, solving problems and in market research in the development of new products,
- Cooperation with external companies, consultants, and Universities, regarding various research, and in development phase.
- Lead the cross functional project team, establish the project execution approach, allocate and manage resources and oversee activities to achieve all project goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Mechanical or Mechatronic related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Development Engineer role in a manufacturing environment. Proven track record of developing different products or systems, including concept and new product development and/or modification of product and process with some improvements.
- Strong product and process development skills with proficiency in CAD software. SolidWorks preferable.
- Skiledl in FEM or CFD analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
- English is a must.
