DevOps Azure Engineer - Freelance

My Financial Service Client Azure Platform Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development, management, and maintenance of our Azure platform. You will work closely with DevOps teams to enhance cloud adoption, improve automation, and drive innovation in cloud computing.

Job Title: DevOps Azure Engineer

Employment Type: Freelance (Contract)

Location: Remote/Utrecht, Netherlands

Contract Length: 12 Months

Start Date: ASAP

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Manage and optimize the Azure platform.
• Develop security automation and design solutions.
• Support DevOps teams on cloud migration and platform usage.
• Use CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code to automate processes.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
• Explore innovation topics like Open AI.
• Participate in on-call standby shifts.

**Skills & Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Azure development and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Azure technologies such as Azure DevOps, ARM/Bicep, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Web Apps.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, YAML pipelines, Bash, PowerShell, and cloud design patterns.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player mentality.
• Agile and DevOps mindset, with a focus on collaboration and continuous learning.

**Nice to Have:**

• Experience with Machine Learning, Azure Networking, and container technologies (AKS, ACI).
• Knowledge of cloud-native development and backend cloud applications.
