Join the CustomerAccount Team as a Senior Full Stack Engineer with Frontend Focus

Be part of the customer engine of Tchibo’s webshop.

Our CustomerAccount team builds and operates the customer foundation platform – the architectural backbone that enables secure,

scalable, and personalized customer experiences online.

We design the core layers that store and manage customer profiles, order history, account balance, reclaim processes, and the user

menu, secured by our central webshop account login. By providing a flexible, composable platform architecture, we empower other

teams to innovate with features and channels without compromising stability or data integrity.

Your tasks: You make a difference with us.

• Lead frontend development for customer-facing account modules – delivering responsive, mobile-first interfaces with excellent

UX.

• Design and maintain full-stack microservices that integrate seamlessly into the customer foundation platform, ensuring

performance, scalability, and security.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and product owners to translate platform vision into robust technical solutions.

• Optimize for speed, accessibility, and resilience, leveraging practices like micro-frontends, caching and client side hydration.

• Take ownership from conception to operation – driving independent workstreams with high proactive communication.

• Conduct code reviews, testing, and CI/CD automation to maintain high engineering standards.

• Guide the integration of Akamai for delivery optimization and security.

• Mentor team members and evaluate new technologies to improve customer platform capabilities.

Your profile: You keep discovering with us.

• Degree in computer science/business informatics or equivalent.

• 4+ years’ experience in frontend-focused full-stack engineering, with mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript, semantic HTML, CSS,

and responsive design.

• Deep expertise in frameworks like Vue.js 3 / Nuxt 4 (preferred) or React, Angular, and backend experience in Kotlin, Java,

Node.js.

• Solid SQL skills, database design experience, and cloud familiarity – preferably Google Cloud Platform, CloudSQL, Pub/Sub,

GKE, plus Terraform and Kubernetes.

• Strong ability to plan, architect, and drive independent topics to completion.

• Experience with customer data security, privacy regulations, and optimization using Akamai (preferred).

• Excellent English communication skills for cross-team collaboration. German communication skills (preferred).
