Job Title: Datacentre Network Engineer ( GPU‑as‑a‑Service )

Setup: Freelance (Daily rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

The client is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimise high‑performance network architectures that support GPUaaS, HPC and AI workloads within an on‑premise Datacentre cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, resilient network architectures purpose‑built for GPUaaS environments.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across service clusters, ensuring optimal utilisation and low‑latency connectivity.
• Implement advanced security controls to protect network infrastructure supporting GPU resources.
• Integrate new GPUaaS and HPC services into existing enterprise network environments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to connectivity, latency, routing, bandwidth and virtualised network layers.

Must‑Have Skills:

• Strong experience designing and managing datacentre networks at scale.
• Proficiency with enterprise monitoring tools and network performance diagnostics.
• Knowledge of HPC/GPU networking technologies (e.g., InfiniBand, RoCE).
• Experience with automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
• Strong background with switches, routers, firewalls, and virtualisation (VMs, containers).
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and its interaction with GPU‑accelerated services.
• Experience with scripting/automation using Python or PowerShell.

Nice‑to‑Have:

• Networking/security certifications (e.g., CCIE, cybersecurity certs).
• Experience with NVIDIA networking, Azure, or GPU vendor ecosystems.
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS, encryption solutions and high‑performance workload management.
