Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior UX & UI Designer to join our growing core team in Istanbul. Reporting directly to the Customer Experience and Analytics Director, you will play a central role in crafting intuitive, data-informed, and visually stunning interfaces for our digital banking platforms. This hybrid role blends human-centered design practices with deep collaboration across channel specialists, analysts, and developers, ensuring a seamless experience across mobile, web, and embedded finance (BaaS) channels.
With a strong background in designing for financial services, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end UX efforts while supporting high-fidelity UI design implementation. Your mission will be to transform complex banking processes into elegant and empowering user journeys that meet business goals and regulatory expectations, without compromising on design excellence.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End UX Leadership
- Lead UX research and design processes for our digital banking platforms, including mobile, web, and embedded BaaS journeys.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive user journeys, personas, experience maps, and wireframes.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and behavioral analytics to inform and iterate design decisions.
- Optimize user flows using design thinking and problem-framing techniques, offering actionable solutions to friction points.
- Collaborate with customer experience experts, business analysts, and developers to deliver user-centric and technically feasible designs.
- Manage UX documentation and storytelling—ensuring clarity and stakeholder alignment at every stage.
- Shape customer experiences tailored to different target segments, leveraging qualitative insights and quantitative data.
Interface Design & Execution
- Design intuitive, aesthetically refined, and responsive UI components for ColendiBank’s mobile app, internet banking portal, and BaaS interfaces.
- Translate business and user requirements into engaging visual designs, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and brand coherence.
- Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes using Figma or equivalent tools, focusing on visual hierarchy, typography, and spacing.
- Actively contribute to and expand the ColendiBank Design System, ensuring interface consistency across all products and platforms.
- Collaborate with front-end developers for pixel-perfect implementation, ensuring alignment on assets, states, and interactions.
Data-Informed Design Practices
- Apply A/B testing and behavioral analytics to continuously evaluate and refine interface components.
- Utilize customer and channel analytics to inform design priorities and conversion optimization strategies.
- Suggest improvements to drive usability, accessibility, and overall experience quality based on measurable KPIs.
Innovation, Benchmarking & Visual Trends
- Keep pace with emerging UX & UI trends, tools, and fintech design standards to maintain a competitive and forward-thinking design language.
- Conduct sectoral and cross-industry benchmark studies to ensure ColendiBank maintains a leadership position in digital experience design.
- Contribute to storytelling across communication channels (e.g., SMS, push notifications, social media) from a UX perspective.
Collaboration & Support
- Serve as an active design partner across agile squads, supporting rapid product iterations and experience refinements.
- Work alongside UI designers during intensive development cycles, contributing to component updates and rapid interface prototyping.
- Provide guidance on UX best practices and help mentor junior designers or contributors when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in UX & UI design, preferably within banking, fintech, or highly regulated digital industries.
- Demonstrated excellence in crafting seamless user journeys and polished interface designs across mobile and web platforms.
- Proven experience in UX methodologies, user research, persona development, journey mapping, wireframing, usability testing.
- Strong visual design skills and mastery of design principles including typography, color theory, layout, and responsive UI design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, and Miro.
- Experience in A/B testing, UX analytics tools, and integrating data insights into design decisions.
- Familiarity with designing for BaaS platforms and embedded finance flows is a strong plus.
- Comfort with agile methodologies and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to present and justify design choices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment focused on innovation and scalability.
