As a Lead Marketing Designer, you balance creative perfection with team leadership, guiding designers to deliver high-quality work that aligns with broader business and product goals. You lead a small design team, providing clear direction, mentorship, and actionable feedback to foster both individual and collective growth. You set goals, oversee timelines, and ensure consistent delivery standards across multiple projects or business initiatives.
You collaborate closely with producers, product owners, game designers, and engineers—translating strategic objectives into cohesive creative output. You drive team development, elevate craft quality, and refine workflows to improve efficiency, communication, and impact across functions.
Work mode: hybrid – 3 days per week from Wave Office in Gdansk or Unity Office in Krakow.
What You'll Do
- Develop engaging and highly polished CRM marketing creatives in partnership with the Marketing Design Manager, Product Art Managers, and Game Operations team.
- Enhance and refine existing concepts, ensuring all assets are polished, visually striking, and performance‑ready.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a small team of dedicated designers, fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, provide constructive feedback, and support individual growth and team cohesion.
- Champion best practices and maintain high quality standards across all creative deliverables.
- Collaborate cross functionally with art teams and game operations to ensure creative alignment.
- Translate feedback into actionable design improvements, balancing creative ambition with performance insights.
- Run and prioritise multiple time‑sensitive projects in a fast paced, iterative environment.
- Supply brainstorms, ideation sessions, and creative reviews to elevate the overall quality of the team’s output.
- Experiment with new creative techniques, workflows, and tools (including AI tools) to accelerate prototyping and enhance creative exploration.
Design & Technical Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles including composition, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Advanced proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Outstanding time‑management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable collaborating closely with cross‑functional partners.
- Professional level of English.
- Exceptional eye for visual style, brand alignment, and detail
- Ability to interpret briefs and translate them into thoughtful, intelligent design solutions.
- Confidence working in a flexible, fast‑paced, and high‑performing team environment.
- Strong ability to take and apply constructive feedback.
- Experience with animation in Unity and Spine.
- Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools.
