We are hiring a Senior Node.js / TypeScript Developer in Halifax to support a critical platform migration initiative within our Investor Services technology group. This role is essential for meeting key project milestones as the team transitions from a legacy on-premises platform to a modern cloud-based solution.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement back-end solutions using Node.js and TypeScript to support the migration from a legacy platform to a cloud-native architecture

Write clean, maintainable code for data migration scripts, API integrations, and configuration workflows

Leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot and similar) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality

Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and project managers to ensure smooth delivery against tight timelines

Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising during migration and parallel-run phases

Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge transfer activities

Requirements:

5+ years of software development experience with strong Node.js and TypeScript proficiency

Experience with platform migrations, data transformation, and cloud deployments

Solid understanding of back-end architecture, RESTful APIs, and microservices

Familiarity with client lifecycle management, KYC/AML, or onboarding platforms is an asset

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities under deadline pressure

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with Generative AI concepts, tooling, or frameworks

• Comfort working with AI-assisted coding tools in daily development workflows
