Role Overview
As a Mobile Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and enhance mobile applications that support real-time shopping experiences. You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable features and maintain a high standard of application performance and reliability.
This position involves contributing to the entire development lifecycle—from technical design and feature implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization. Key Responsibilities
Mobile Application Development
Design and implement high-quality mobile features that enable live commerce experiences. Build scalable and responsive components that support real-time engagement and seamless user interactions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product management, user experience designers, backend engineers, and infrastructure teams to bring new features from concept to production.
Feature Implementation
Translate product requirements and design specifications into clean, efficient, and maintainable production code.
Application Performance & Reliability
Ensure mobile applications deliver excellent performance, responsiveness, and stability across a wide range of devices and network conditions.
API Integration
Integrate mobile applications with backend services and APIs to support live streaming, messaging, transactions, and analytics.
Full Development Lifecycle Participation
Contribute to planning, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of mobile applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
Architecture & Technical Discussions
Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions to help shape the technical direction of mobile systems and features.
Code Quality & Best Practices
Conduct code reviews, maintain coding standards, and implement engineering best practices to ensure maintainable and reliable codebases.
Production Support
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments. Analyze system behavior and implement improvements that increase stability and performance.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to enhance development tools, workflows, and frameworks that improve engineering efficiency and product quality.
Technology Exploration
Stay informed about emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure the platform remains modern, efficient, and competitive.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Mobile Development Experience
Experience building mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms.
Programming Expertise
Strong proficiency in platform-specific languages such as Swift or Objective-C for iOS, or Kotlin or Java for Android development.
Mobile Architecture
Experience working with modern mobile development frameworks and architectural patterns such as MVVM or similar approaches.
API Integration
Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs and working with asynchronous programming models.
Version Control
Familiarity with Git or other distributed version control systems.
Development Tools
Experience working with build systems, dependency management tools, and CI/CD pipelines within mobile development environments.
Testing Practices
Experience writing unit tests and UI tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
Problem-Solving Skills
Strong debugging and analytical abilities with a focus on diagnosing issues and implementing robust solutions.
