The Product Manager – Commercial Cards will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and performance of the Bank’s Commercial Card portfolio, including Corporate Cards, Purchasing Cards, T&E Cards, Virtual Cards, and SME business card propositions.
The incumbent will play a key role in expanding the Bank’s presence in the Commercial Cards segment by building customer-centric solutions, enhancing value propositions, and delivering sustainable portfolio growth.
While the role focuses on Commercial Cards, the ideal candidate should bring exposure to Consumer Cards, enabling the transfer of best practices in product design, lifecycle management, digital servicing, rewards, controls, and customer experience into the Commercial segment.
The Product Manager will be accountable for product health, portfolio growth, and profitability, and will work closely with Sales, LE Relationship Management, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Scheme partners to deliver scalable and innovative card solutions for corporate and SME clients.
Key Accountabilities
Product Strategy & Portfolio Growth
- Support the development and execution of the Commercial Cards product strategy aligned with the Bank’s overall Cards & Payments roadmap
- Drive acquisition, activation, and spend growth across Corporate, SME, and Business card portfolios
- Identify opportunities to expand Commercial Cards usage through digital payments, virtual cards, procurement solutions, and expense management tools
- Translate customer and RM feedback into actionable product enhancements
- Be the flagbearer of the Commercial Card and assist the Head of Products and Propositions in managing the Product P&L
- Design and enhance Commercial Card features, controls, and benefits to meet evolving corporate client needs
- Leverage learnings from Consumer Cards (rewards, lifecycle engagement, digital journeys, servicing models) to strengthen Commercial offerings
- Work with scheme partners (Visa/Mastercard etc.) and fintech providers to introduce innovative Commercial Card capabilities
- Support development of industry-specific propositions (travel, contracting, trading, SME ecosystems etc.)
- Work closely with the Portfolio and CLCM team in defining a structured approach to portfolio management in line with the product propositions and demands of the commercial segments
- Monitor portfolio performance across key metrics such as spend, receivables, interchange, fee income, utilisation, and activation
- Track portfolio profitability and support initiatives to improve revenue, optimise pricing, and manage costs
- Conduct periodic product health checks and propose corrective actions where required
- Support preparation of business cases for new products, features, and enhancements
- Act as a key interface between Cards Business, Sales teams, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology for Commercial Card initiatives
- Coordinate product rollouts, enhancements, and operational changes across departments
- Support resolution of operational challenges impacting corporate clients and portfolio performance
- Assist in training Sales and Relationship teams on product features, positioning, and use cases
- Ensure Commercial Card products remain compliant with QCB regulations, scheme rules, and internal policies
- Work with Compliance and Risk teams on product reviews, documentation, and process enhancements
- Support implementation of controls, reporting, and governance processes required for Commercial Card programs
