Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Hardware Developer in Network Engineering, you will receive and manage escalations from other teams and monitoring tools involving service-affecting issues. You will also plan, schedule, and implement network maintenance activities, including software upgrades, hardware replacement, and network infrastructure changes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshoot Service Issues: Troubleshoots, isolates, and corrects service-affecting issues on the network in areas including routing protocols, routers, switches, firewall administration, MPLS, BGP, VPN, and load balancing.
- Implement Network Maintenance: Plans, schedules, and implements network maintenance activities, including software upgrades, hardware replacement, and network infrastructure augments/changes.
- Collaborate with Providers: Works with network infrastructure/service providers to identify and correct causes of circuit disruption, as well as hardware vendors to determine causes of device failure/issues.
- Create Network Documentation: Creates network connectivity diagrams and other documentation of live network environments for internal and customer use.
- Conduct Performance Analysis: Conducts performance analysis and optimization, and creates diagrams and other documentation of network environments.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Network Troubleshooting Exposure: Exposure to troubleshooting, isolating, and correcting service-affecting issues on networks, including routing protocols, routers, switches, firewall administration, MPLS, BGP, VPN, and load balancing.
- Network Maintenance Implementation: Experience working with planning, scheduling, and implementing network maintenance activities, including software upgrades, hardware replacement, and network infrastructure changes.
- Network Provider Collaboration: Exposure to working with network infrastructure/service providers to identify and correct causes of circuit disruption, as well as hardware vendors to determine causes of device failure/issues.
- Network Documentation Creation: Experience working with creating network connectivity diagrams and other documentation of live network environments for internal and customer use.
- Performance Analysis Exposure: Exposure to conducting performance analysis and optimization, and creating diagrams and other documentation of network environments.
- Network Architecture Knowledge: Exposure to designing and implementing network architectures, including routing protocols, routers, switches, and firewall administration.
- Advanced Troubleshooting Skills: Experience working with advanced troubleshooting techniques, including isolating and correcting complex service-affecting issues on networks.
- Performance Optimization: Exposure to conducting performance analysis and optimization, including creating diagrams and other documentation of network environments.
