Overview

The Data Engineer & BI Analyst part of the Data Impact Benelux team. This role will help to enable accelerated growth for PepsiCo by contributing to the BENELUX BU Execution Tracking capability, a key pillar of the BU 2026 strategy. As a newly created position, this role will be responsible for designing an E2E solution to provide a 360 view on the BNL Execution KPIs merging multiple data sources (sDNA, Nielsen, CRM, Campaign & Customer data) into a scalable and reusable data architecture by levering the existing Azure Cloud Infrastructure. Once a solid back-end is finalized, the data must be translated into a multi-layered reporting solution in Power BI where multiple lenses must be applied to satisfy several business requirements from: CatMan, Perfect Store, Shopper Marketing, FSF, Sales and the broader commercial organization. Once the initial MVP is delivered, the solution must be industrialized and brought into production, entering hypercare phase. Key objective is to develop long term muscles and bring BNL to best in class Execution Tracking across EU, on par with the existing BU reporting suite.

Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling: Develop and implement predictive and prescriptive models to support business decision-making. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the analysis process.
    • Design and implement data infrastructure and processing workflows required to support data science, machine learning, BI and reporting
    • Build robust, efficient, and reliable data pipelines consisting of diverse data sources (CRM, Nielsen, sDNA, Customer & Campaign Data)
    • Design and develop real time streaming and batch processing pipeline solutions
    • Own the data expertise and data quality for the pipelines
    • Clean and prepare data for use in advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning projects
    • Build analysis in Python with accompanying documentation
    • Combine and manipulate data sources to produce value-added analyses from which insights and opportunities can be extracted
  • Communicate effectively with business to understand business needs, anticipate requirements more accurately and suggest best solution approach
  • Lead design, code & process review sessions to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and performance guidelines. Design BI solutions based on guided analytics approach and best in class story telling delivery mode

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field for instance a Bachelor or Master’s degree Scince or Business management (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science) or equivalent experience
  • 6 years + of Power-BI and Python experience
  • Strong experience in Power BI (Backend/Frontend) to develop compelling reports and dashboards
  • Experience in Databricks and Python/PySpark – Should be able to perform an ETL transformation of a large-scale datasets and combine different data sources
  • Experience with multiple data technologies and concepts such as SQL, NoSQL, Airflow, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MapReduce and Columnar databases (Good to have)
  • 2+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
  • Experience writing production code for Python or JVM-based systems, but you know a few other languages and like the right tool for the job
