ContractRemote FriendlyDesign, Art/Creative +1

Platform: PC / Steam

Engine: Unity

Availability: Full-time or Part-time (Remote)

Quick Note About Compensation

This role works on a revenue-share basis rather than a monthly salary. We’re a new, small studio developing our first PC games for the Steam platform, and we prefer a simple, transparent model:

You contribute to the project →

Once the game launches →

You receive your agreed share of the revenue.

It’s not a co-founder offer, and not a large equity stake — just a straightforward, honest collaboration for artists who enjoy building games with a small, dedicated team. If that sounds reasonable, keep reading.

About Us

We are TINK TEAM LTD, a United Kingdom-based technology company and independent game development studio.

We are currently developing Mobile Ready PC game projects in parallel, focusing on high-quality 3D gameplay and modern Unity workflows.

To support this structure, we are hiring 3D Game Artists, each responsible for leading the visual direction of one project.

Role Overview

Each 3D Game Artist will take ownership of the visual direction, concept/visual development support, and environment/asset quality of one game project — collaborating with developers and other artists to ensure consistency, performance, and strong artistic direction.

This role is open to Full-time or Part-time remote collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the visual style and art quality for your assigned project
  • Concept / Visual Development (as needed): gather references, create moodboards/style frames, and do quick paintovers to lock direction
  • Environment design ownership: blockout → set-dressing → final polish (composition, readability, gameplay silhouettes)
  • Lead asset production across characters, environments, and props
  • Establish optimized art pipelines for PC/Steam releases
  • Supervise Unity asset integration and performance targets
  • Guide lighting, materials, shaders, and scene presentation
  • Support animation and cinematic presentation workflows
  • Optimize performance (LODs, draw calls, materials, scene setup)
  • Collaborate with developers to balance visual quality and runtime performance
  • Support marketing assets such as gameplay videos and trailers

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in 3D game development
  • Experience shipping at least one commercial game title
  • Strong real-time portfolio demonstrating game-ready assets and scenes
  • Advanced experience with Unity (URP/HDRP, lighting, shaders, materials)
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization
  • Experience guiding or mentoring artists and/or pipelines

Nice to Have

  • Strong concept/visual development skills (keyframes, paintovers, style exploration, art direction sheets)
  • Modular environment workflow experience (trim sheets, decals, kitbashing, set-dressing rules)
  • Experience with Cinemachine & Timeline
  • Knowledge of VFX and particle workflows
  • Experience working in indie or small teams
