Capital Infotech is seeking multiple GEN Developers to join a Federal Government Department for a long-term engagement. The ideal candidates will have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers.
- Initial contract till March 2027 + extensions
- Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain one quickly
- ACT, VIC, SA, QLD
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and create software and technical designs for the realisation of highly complex development solutions
- Develop strategy to ensure high quality code and long-term maintenance of a product's code base
- Provide specialist technical advice on software development and maintenance
- Lead the release and ensure go-live production support and maintenance for the team’s developments
Technical Skills
- IT degree and/or formal GEN training
- Experience with Cuba or similar systems
- Experience writing and debugging COBOL
- Experience with development of SOAP services, RESTful APIs and MQ
- Experience in Win32 application development
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with Gen development.
- No formal qualifications required.
