Project Management Office (PMO) Lead

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Project Management Office (PMO) Lead to establish and oversee the standards, processes, metrics, and methodologies that drive the success of the company’s Project Management function. This role will primarily focus on strengthening internal delivery operations, improving project visibility, and driving operational excellence across the Software Engineering Business Unit.

This role involves creating a structured framework for project execution, generating insightful reporting, and ensuring consistency and efficiency across projects. The PMO Lead will work closely with Delivery Managers and Project Managers, enabling them with clear processes, reporting frameworks, and operational insights while allowing them to remain focused on client delivery. This position reports to the Director of the Software Engineering Business Unit. While the role involves close collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders across the organization, it is an individual contributor position and does not include direct people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement processes, guidelines, and best practices for the Project Management function.
  • Develop and maintain standardized methodologies, tools, and templates for project execution.
  • Define and track key performance metrics to assess project success and organizational impact.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide visibility into project performance and alignment with business goals.
  • Design and maintain standardized project health reporting frameworks, including status reports, risk tracking, project dashboards, and delivery metrics.
  • Provide guidance, support and supervision to Project Managers, ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project management practices with company objectives.
  • Manage changing priorities and ambiguity with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Project Management team.
  • Act as a mentor and coach, developing leadership skills within the team.
  • Address challenges proactively, maintaining a calm and constructive approach under pressure.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and utilization across projects.
  • Monitor project health indicators across active engagements and proactively identify potential risks or delivery issues.
  • Define and support internal delivery processes such as project onboarding, delivery tracking, project health monitoring, and client feedback mechanisms.
  • Drive operational improvements within the delivery organization, enabling Delivery Managers and PMs to focus on successful client delivery.
  • Support capacity visibility and utilization tracking across the delivery organization.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in project management tools and methodologies (Agile).
  • Experience conducting full life cycle software engineering projects.
  • Experience designing delivery metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting frameworks is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with AI tools to streamline processes, automate repetitive work, and improve operational efficiency is highly appreciated, particularly when applied to workflow automation, delivery process optimization, and improving day-to-day operational workflows.

Experience:

  • 3+ years in a Project Management role and 2+ years of experience in a PMO role, with experience leading teams or initiatives.
  • Experience improving delivery operations, defining project health metrics, or building internal PMO processes is highly valued.

Language:

  • Advanced proficiency in English.
