Backend Developer (.NET) – Insurance Industry

Language requirements: Dutch & English (both fluent)

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Microsoft .NET
• Translate functional specifications into robust technical solutions
• Reuse and improve existing technical components and architecture
• Document developed software clearly and consistently
• Provide second-line support
• Collaborate closely with analysts, designers, and development teams
• Work in an Agile / DevOps environment using Azure DevOps

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with .NET development
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2012–2019)
• Experience building SOAP & REST services (WCF)
• Good understanding of:
• XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, JSON, REST
• IIS 10 hosting
• Object-oriented design and development
• Experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, and SQL functions
• Version control using Git
• Familiar with Azure DevOps sprint backlogs
• Experience with on-prem to cloud migration is a plus

Nice to Have

• SoapUI automation experience
• Unit testing knowledge (stubs, drivers, testing scope)
• Experience working with offshore teams
