Job Description

adesso Belgium, who are we? We are an IT (start-up) provider working under the adesso umbrella with proven track record in different industries. The new Belgian entity of adesso is part of the expansion and growth strategy of the adesso group. With more than 10.000 employees spread over 60 locations we are entering an exciting period with our presence in Brussels, the capital of Europe.

We are looking for experienced freelance Java developers to join our talent pool for upcoming projects with our customers in Belgium.

Job Requirements

 Your role

  • You design and implement cloud-native applications with Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot, and ensure stable and secure integration with other systems.
  • You set up modern CI/CD pipelines with Docker and Kubernetes, and ensure high quality through test automation and monitoring.
  • You develop front-end components in Angular that connect to backend services and contribute to an optimal user experience.
  • You present your solutions to customers and stakeholders, process feedback, and defend well-founded technical choices.
  • You work closely with developers, designers, and architects, take responsibility for the final delivery quality, and ensure the optimal balance between customer requirements and resources.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Java/Kotlin - Spring Boot - Docker - Kubernetes - Angular, among others.

Your profile

  • You have a strong passion for building high-quality digital solutions and the ability to convince both customers and colleagues.
  • You have an extensive experience in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and Angular, among others.
  • You have knowledge of modern software architectures (microservices, event-driven, cloud-native).
  • Proficiency with CI/CD, version control (Git), test automation, and monitoring tools.
  • You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering or a related field, along with at least 5 years of relevant professional or project experience.
  • Experience in a lead or senior role, with proven success in guiding teams and projects.
  • You are bilingual in Dutch and French, and fluent in English.
