The Opportunity

Are you an aspiring data enthusiast ready to kickstart your career in business intelligence and analytics? As an Associate Business Intelligence Analyst at MedModus, you'll embark on an exciting journey, working closely with our customers and learning the ropes of transforming data into actionable insights.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with experienced BI professionals on impactful projects in healthcare and other industries.
• Lead and manage BI initiatives under the guidance of our Business Intelligence Manager.
• Dive into the world of cutting-edge BI technologies, including Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Achieve Microsoft certifications in Power BI / Fabric.
• Utilise SQL and DAX to extract meaningful insights from data warehouses and semantic models.
• Develop enterprise-grade semantic models and ETL processes with Microsoft Fabric.
• Analyse operational and clinical data from hospital information systems.
• Engage with hospital staff to validate information, interpret trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create visually compelling operational and clinical dashboards using Power BI.
• Explore financial data to understand the cost of hospital activities.
• Benchmark hospital performance against other healthcare systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field.
• Basic programming skills in SQL and/or DAX with an aptitude for algorithms.
• Familiarity with data models (e.g. Power BI, Power Pivot, Azure Analysis Services) and ETL tools (e.g., Power Query, Fabric pipelines, SSIS).
• Adept at Excel, including pivot tables and functions.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous exposure to healthcare-related sectors is a plus.
• Familiarity with programming or statistical languages (e.g., R, Python, C#, SAS, Stata).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform.
• A valid Irish driving license.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Basic salary €30,000 to €45,000 per annum depending on experience
• Employer pension contribution
• Health insurance
• Work from abroad for up to 6 weeks a year
• Hybrid work environment – typically 1 day per week in company office with periodic visits to customer sites.

Location

• Based in Dublin, Ireland but with potential to work significant time remotely with our hybrid work policy.
