At Ping Identity, we believe in making digital experiences both secure and seamless for all users, without compromise. We call this digital freedom. And it's not just something we provide our customers. It's something that inspires our company. People don't come here to join a culture that's built on digital freedom. They come to cultivate it.
Our intelligent, cloud identity platform lets people shop, work, bank, and interact wherever and however they want. Without friction. Without fear.
While protecting digital identities is at the core of our technology, protecting individual identities is at the core of our culture. We champion every identity. One of our core values, Respect Individuality, reminds us to celebrate differences so you are empowered to bring your authentic self to work.
We're headquartered in Denver, Colorado and we have offices and employees around the globe. We serve the largest, most demanding enterprises worldwide, including more than half of the Fortune 100. At Ping Identity, we're changing the way people and businesses think about cybersecurity, digital experiences, and identity and access management.
Your mission
Are you excited by the idea of working deep in the technical stack, solving hard engineering challenges, and shaping the foundations of cutting-edge security technology? As a Core Engineer at Keyless, you’ll work at the intersection of systems engineering, applied cryptography, secure computation, cross-platform development, and performance-critical C++.
We are building privacy-preserving authentication technology used by global enterprises and you will be a key contributor to the core engine that powers it. From maintaining our cross-platform SDKs to implementing cryptographic protocols and improving performance, reliability, and security, your work will directly impact our products and millions of end users.
This role is ideal for someone who loves low-level engineering, cares deeply about secure and robust software, and enjoys working across multiple platforms, toolchains, and technologies.
If you’re passionate about building core systems, owning complex problems end-to-end, and working in a highly technical environment, we want to hear from you.
What will you do?
- You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core components that power our authentication platform. In this role, you will:
- Develop robust, high-performance C++ libraries and SDK components used across mobile, desktop, and server environments.
- Own the build tooling and cross-platform compilation pipeline (Android NDK, iOS, Linux, Windows, macOS) using Make, CMake, and custom toolchains.
- Implement, integrate, and optimise cryptographic primitives using OpenSSL, Botan, and internally designed secure protocols.
- Contribute to our secure multiparty computation engine and privacy-preserving algorithms.
- Work closely with the security team to design defences against reverse engineering, including obfuscation, hardening, symbol management, and binary protection.
- Analyse performance bottlenecks, memory behaviour, and concurrency issues across diverse environments.
- Build Python tooling and automation scripts to streamline development, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and long-term technical roadmap planning.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, thoroughly tested, production-ready code across all supported platforms.
- Strong expertise in modern C++ (C++17 or later) and systems-level programming.
- Experience with CMake, Make, and complex build systems targeting multiple platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of cryptography (symmetric, asymmetric, hashing, key exchange) and practical experience with libraries such as OpenSSL or Botan.
- Familiarity with software security, reverse-engineering resistance, obfuscation strategies, and secure code practices.
- Understanding of secure protocol design, web security fundamentals, and network communication patterns.
- Experience with cross-platform development, particularly Android NDK and iOS toolchains.
- Proficiency with Python for tooling, automation, and scripting.
- Solid understanding of operating systems, memory models, concurrency, and performance optimisation.
- Ability to work autonomously on complex technical problems and communicate effectively with engineering and product teams.
- Strong understanding of the LLVM compiler architecture, including its IR, optimisation pipeline, and toolchain components.
- Background in multiparty computation, applied cryptography, or privacy-preserving technologies.
- Experience integrating C++ libraries into higher-level platforms (Java/Kotlin, Swift/Obj-C, Python, etc.).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and automated testing pipelines for C++ and mobile platforms.
We believe in and facilitate a flexible, collaborative work environment. We’re growing quickly, but remain true to the innovative, can-do startup values that got us here. Most importantly, we keep hiring talented, smart, fun, and genuinely nice people because that’s who we want to succeed with every day.
