Information Technology Support Officer
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our clients in the hospitality and retail industries. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage network infrastructure, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems. Your ability to deliver outstanding customer service and your technical expertise will be key to helping our clients resolve IT challenges efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues in hospitality and retail environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to POS systems, booking systems, network connectivity, and other critical IT infrastructure.
- Offer guidance on software and hardware installations, configurations, and updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation of all technical issues, solutions, and user interactions.
- Assist with system backups, data recovery, and security measures to ensure the integrity of client IT systems.
- Perform regular system health checks and updates to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide on-site and remote support to clients as needed.
Requirements:
- Microsoft Dynamics: Proficient in supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Dynamics, with a focus on retail and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Retail Experience: In-depth understanding of retail operations and technologies, including POS systems, booking and reservation software, and other industry-specific tools.
- SQL: Strong experience with SQL for database management, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Technical Expertise: Expertise in network setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, etc.), ensuring robust connectivity and network performance.
- Operating Systems: Proficient in using and troubleshooting common operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- IT Hardware: Experience with various IT hardware such as computers, printers, servers, and peripheral devices, ensuring proper functionality and quick issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multi-location, retail or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of cloud services, remote desktop solutions, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or property management systems in hospitality or retail.
- Experience supporting mobile devices, tablets, and other portable technology in customer-facing roles.
