Java Software Engineer - Apeldoorn - ALTEN Nederland

The Position

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Java Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Apeldoorn.

As a Java Software Engineer, your main tasks will include:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
• Perform code reviews and contribute to best practices
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability

Your profile

• Holding a Dutch passport (mandatory for security clearance)
• Completed bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field
• Proficient with Java with at least 3+ years of practical experience
• Experience with Linux development and production environments is a must
• Has broad knowledge of software tooling like: Kubernetes, Git, SonarQube, and other tooling
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
