Our offices in Alkmaar and Amsterdam are home to multidisciplinary teams building digital products and experiences for clients across the Netherlands and beyond. As a design intern at Hypersolid, you will work alongside experienced designers and developers to help shape digital products used by thousands of people.
We primarily offer graduation internships, where you combine research with designing and validating a concept or product experience. In some cases, working internships are available, allowing you to contribute directly to ongoing design projects within our teams.
What are you going to do?
During your internship, you will become part of one of our project teams and gain hands-on experience designing digital products and services. You will work closely with designers, developers, and product specialists to create intuitive and meaningful user experiences.
Together with your mentor, you will define clear learning goals and shape an internship that matches your education and interests. You will learn how design decisions are made in a professional environment and how design contributes to real products used by real users.

We are looking for curious and motivated students who enjoy solving design challenges and learning from experienced designers. You enjoy exploring ideas, thinking from the user’s perspective, and turning concepts into clear and thoughtful designs. You are eager to learn, open to feedback, and comfortable working together with designers, developers, and product teams.
You take initiative in your work, ask questions when something is unclear, and care about creating designs that are both useful and meaningful. Most importantly, you are enthusiastic about design and motivated to make the most out of your internship experience while contributing to the team.
What do you bring with you?

- Research a user experience, product, or design challenge
- Translate insights into concepts, flows, and interface designs
- Prototype and validate ideas with users or stakeholders
- Present your findings and design solution as part of your graduation project
We also offer a limited number of working internships, where you will:
- Support ongoing design projects for digital products
- Contribute to UX flows, wireframes, and interface designs
- Collaborate with designers and developers in product teams
- Gain practical experience in real product design projects
- UX Design
- Research user needs and design intuitive product experiences. You may work on user journeys, interaction flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
- UI/Visual Design
- Design clear, engaging interfaces for web and mobile applications. You may work on layouts, visual design, components, and design systems.
- Product Design
- Work across the full product design process, from research and concepting to interface design and validation.
- Figma
- Prototyping tools
- Design systems and component libraries
- User research and usability testing

What do you bring with you?
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or HBO degree in Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, or a related field
- You are looking for a graduation internship or working internship
- Basic experience with digital product design
- A portfolio showing your design work or projects
- Interest in user-centered design and digital products
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in English
