We are looking for a Senior Service Delivery Lead based in Portugal to drive a long‑term mission for one of our key fintech clients. You will lead delivery for a 15‑person tech team working on cutting‑edge products in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, within a highly regulated financial environment.

• Own end‑to‑end service delivery for a strategic fintech program, ensuring scope, quality, timeline and budget are met.
• Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team (up to 15 people) including backend engineers, DevOps, QA and business analysts.
• Coordinate with customer stakeholders (product, compliance, operations) and translate business needs into delivery roadmaps.
• Implement and refine delivery processes, SLAs, KPIs and reporting for a regulated financial services context.
• Identify delivery risks early (technical, compliance, operational) and drive mitigation plans.
• Ensure strong alignment between engineering teams (AWS/Java/Blockchain) and client expectations.

You don’t need to code day‑to‑day, but you must be comfortable leading in this stack and domain:

• Cloud: AWS (EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, CI/CD pipelines).
• Backend: Java‑based services and event‑driven architectures.
• Blockchain & crypto: distributed ledger concepts, custody, wallets, payments, smart contracts (any major protocol experience appreciated).
• Regulated environment: experience with financial regulations, risk, security and auditability (e.g. KYC/AML, transaction monitoring, data protection).

• 6+ years in project or service delivery management in tech, including 3+ years leading teams of 8–15 people.
• Solid experience delivering projects for fintech, banks, payments, or crypto/Blockchain companies.
• Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles (Agile/Scrum/Kanban) and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to challenge and support engineering teams working with AWS and Java microservices.
• Proven track record managing demanding stakeholders and navigating regulated environments.
• Excellent communication in English (spoken and written); Portuguese is a plus.
• Based in Portugal, able to work fully remote with occasional on‑site client visits if needed.
