Lombard Odier Investment Managers (“LOIM”) is the asset management business of the Lombard Odier Group. In order to strengthen our Data Management team, we are looking for a:
Investment Risk Data Analyst
YOUR ROLE
You will join a global organisation of over 400 professionals operating across 13 offices in Europe, Asia, and North America. You will play a pivotal role within the Risk Data function, acting as a key partner to Investment Risk Managers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
You will shape the design and delivery of advanced risk analytics, ensure the robustness and integrity of data feeding our risk frameworks, and drive the evolution of our analytical capabilities across platforms such as Bloomberg PORT & MARS.
You will take a leadership role in enhancing data quality, strengthening analytical processes, and accelerating the automation and scalability of our risk infrastructure, aligning with our strategic ambition to increasingly leverage advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engagement with LOIM Investment Risk Managers and other primary stakeholders to design, develop and implement clear analytical solutions across all asset classes
- Take ownership of risk and performance dashboards and underlying data sourcing processes
- Help drive the migration of existing processes to automated processes and platforms in line with the team vision to increasingly leverage Artificial Intelligence.
- Management of existing data sets, ensuring the analytics tools are correctly sourcing data from data sources external to the immediate team.
- Maintaining risk calculations and process feeds to external calculators.
- Respond and prioritize ad-hoc requests for information as they arise.
- Challenge existing processes and data feeds with the wider LOIM-IT and data community.
YOUR PROFILE
- You hold a degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or an equivalent quantitative discipline.
- You bring substantial experience working with large-scale, distributed data sets, as well as demonstrated expertise in automation and process optimization.
- You have strong interest and relevant exposure to the financial industry, with solid understanding of investment instruments and/or applications of Artificial Intelligence within finance.
- You demonstrate a solid understanding of risk management methodologies, including VaR, stress testing, sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- You have the confidence and credibility to challenge assumptions, question data integrity, and provide constructive, influential input.
- You are proficient with BI tools (ideally: Tableau) as well as workflow automation tools such as Alteryx).
- You are proficient in developing in Python and writing complex SQL queries
- You possess outstanding analytical, data manipulation and statistical modelling skills, bringing strong quantitative rigor.
- You operate autonomously with a high level of accountability, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.
- You are flexible, solutions‑oriented, and intellectually curious, with a proven ability to solve complex problems and adapt to evolving priorities.
