- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++, C, or Python.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

As a part of the Car App Library team, you will be responsible for building the frameworks that make developers job easier by abstracting hardware variability between cars and providing solutions that are driver distraction aware.
In this role, you will expand the range of applications that can be enabled in cars, and look for engineers that can bridge the gap between the system capabilities and the needs of developers.Android is Google’s mobile operating system powering more than 3 billion devices worldwide. Responsibilities
- Architect and develop the Car App Library, a cross-platform environment to build Automotive applications.
- Build understanding and expertise on automotive OEM and app developer needs.
- Define and apply metrics to validate the impact of your work.
- Collaborate closely with other disciplines, internal partners such as core Android and external ones such as our automotive manufacturer partners.
