Business Analyst for Automated Data Lineage
Location: Poland, Kraków preferred.
WFO 5 days/month
B2B contract for long term role.
Overview
We’re looking for a Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role requires someone naturally curious, comfortable exploring data, and skilled at breaking down complex concepts into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
What you’ll do
· Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understoodand effectively delivered.
· Analyze business processes, datasets, and systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
· Lead or support development of automated data lineage solutions to improve visibility, governance, and traceability across data pipelines.
· Apply generative AI and other analytics methods to automate workflows, extract insights, and enhance decision-making.
· Gather, validate, and document business and data requirements for new projects and enhancements.
· Translate high-level technical designs, data concepts, and analytical outputs into business-friendly language.
· Investigate data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with technical teams on corrective actions.
· Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help stakeholders understand performance and support informed decisions.
· Continuously explore data sources, products, and tools with an inquisitive mindset to uncover new value opportunities.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
· Solid and relevant experience in a similar role,
· Knowledge of BCBS239 is desirable,
· Master’s degree preferred,
· Ability to comprehend complex data architecture,
· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills,
· Multitasking ability and the capacity to work under pressure within tight timelines are essential,
· Open personality with effective communication skills and the flexibility to work in an international team,
· Knowledge of data management tools like Collibra, Atlas, QlikSense is a plus.
· Proficiency in interpreting and articulating SQL and Python code would be considered an asset for this role.
