Practical Security in Complex Systems

We are looking for a hands-on and forward-leaning Information Security Manager to strengthen security across our Tolling organization.

In this role, you will work closely with development teams to make security practical, scalable and business relevant. We already have structures, policies and certifications in place. What we need now is someone who can translate security requirements into practical solutions together with engineering.

The position is based in Trondheim and reports to VP IT & Operations.

In this role you will,

  • Own and further develop ISO 27001 and related frameworks (SOC2, NIST, etc.) within Tolling
  • Actively engage with R&D, hardware and software teams to ensure secure design and development practices
  • Participate in Architecture Board discussions and actively influence security-related design decisions in close collaboration with global stakeholders.
  • Support bids and RFPs with security expertise in a commercially sensitive environment
  • Drive risk assessments, incident management and vulnerability handling
  • Improve and automate security processes where possible
  • Ensure that governance works in practice - not only on paper

This is a role with both strategic and operational impact. You will work across disciplines and regions globally.

Who we think you are,

  • You likely have a background from software development, system architecture, DevSecOps or security engineering before moving into a broader security role.
  • Have solid experience with ISO 27001 and audit processes
  • Understand system architecture, secure development and how complex solutions are built
  • Are comfortable discussing security with developers and architects
  • Have experience from environments delivering systems to external customers
  • Can balance structure and pragmatism

Most importantly, you are proactive, self-driven and comfortable operating with high autonomy. You thrive in environments where security must support innovation, not slow it down.

You will likely thrive in this role if the following motivates you,

  • Safeguarding a business-critical certification
  • Working closely with engineering and influencing real product decisions
  • Operating in a global organization delivering long-term contracts
  • Having significant freedom under responsibility
  • Shaping how security is practiced, not just documented

We are a global organization, delivering complex systems. Local presence, global reach. This requires ownership, pace and confidence to challenge when needed.

The role is based in Trondheim, with flexibility for collaboration across time zones. Norwegian language skills are beneficia, strong English skills are required.

What we offer,

  • Competitive compensation, pension and comprehensive insurance coverage (life, disability, medical, travel)
  • Flexible working hours and home office options
  • Subsidized lunch, good office facilities, and parking (Trondheim)
  • Active social and sports environment with gym discounts
  • International projects and strong opportunities for professional growth

We value potential as much as experience. If you recognize yourself in this description, we encourage you to apply.
