Role: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Toronto, Ontario – Onsite
Job Summary
The client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support project delivery by gathering requirements, facilitating stakeholder sessions, and assisting in the design, testing, and implementation of business solutions within a public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business, functional, and system requirements.
- Conduct JAD sessions, workshops, and sprint planning meetings.
- Analyze current and future state business processes.
- Prepare deliverables such as BRD, SRS, use cases, RTM, test plans, and status reports.
- Support development, testing, UAT, and implementation activities.
- Track risks, issues, and project progress and report to the Project Manager.
Must Have Skills
- Experience documenting FRD, NFR, SRS, BRD, process models, use cases, and RTM.
- Strong experience facilitating JAD sessions and Agile/Sprint discussions.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience translating business needs into technical requirements.
Nice to Have
- Public sector / government project experience
- Experience with legacy systems or mainframe environments
- Knowledge of JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, Power BI
