Join Mercedes-Benz’s Global Cyber Security team and make a real impact! We are seeking a passionate and talented Cyber Security Defensive Operation Analyst for a dynamic 1-year contract (renewable) based in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with Mercedes-Benz Singapore, collaborating with our talented Cyber Intelligence and Response Centre (CIRC) and global teams across EMEA and NAFTA. This position is offered through an agency and will be fully integrated into our security operations - playing a key role in protecting one of the world’s most iconic brands. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and triage security alerts from Mercedes-Benz log sources, assess impact, and drive rapid incident containment and remediation.
- Investigate security threats, identify risk gaps, and evaluate organizational impact through deep technical analysis of attack vectors and threat intelligence.
- Collaborate with the CIRC threat intelligence team to enhance contextual analysis and support threat hunting, especially around OSINT Indicators of Compromise (IoCs).
- Lead communications with end users and stakeholders, providing timely updates and coordination during incident response, remediation, and recovery.
- Deliver weekend duty analyst support as part of a global 24/7 operations roster, ensuring continuous monitoring and response.
- Coordinate and implement security projects assigned by the Head of Global Defensive Operations, acting as the local point of contact.
- Contribute technical expertise to virtual teams, supporting operational direction and administrative needs as required.
- Mentor and support junior team members in technical skills and incident management best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, Networking, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIH) are a plus.
- Strong emotional intelligence, teamwork, and composure under pressure.
- Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of cyber/IT security risks, threat prevention, and network security technologies.
- Experience with forensic tools, incident response methodologies, and security standards.
- Proficient in various operating systems and analytical frameworks (e.g., Cyber Kill Chain).
- Corporate or enterprise experience, engaging with diverse internal stakeholders, including senior management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of Splunk is beneficial.
